Now set out get revenge on the man who forced him to mutate, Deadpool will stop at nothing in hopes he might be returned to his good looking self and allowed to return to his impossibly super hot girlfriend Vanessa (Morena Baccarin).DeadpoolWritten with incredibly fast humor and fourth wall breaking meta jokes, Director Tim Miller allows this imaging of Deadpool to be as fun, raunchy, ridiculous, and goofy as any comic loving anti-hero adoring fan could possibly want. And, who better to issue the goods than the comedic known quantity of fast talking Sexiest Man Alive, Ryan Reynolds. Start to finish, without overstaying its welcome the hits are well placed in this perfectly contained side story to X-men. Fellas tell your ladies this is a romantic comedy (which it is, sort of) for Valentine’s weekend, a blast will be had in every obscene particular way. Deadpool is rated R….of course.

How to Be Single

Finishing up college in Oregon, young Alice (Dakota Johnson) decides she needs to spread her wings and leave her boyfriend, Josh (Nicholas Braun), to “find herself” in New York City. Upon arrival and the landing of a job at a law firm, Alice meets Robin (Rebel Wilson), her guide to single life in the big city and she’s off to the races to learn about what she wants out of life.howtosingle Based on the book by Liz Tuccillo and Directed by Christian Ditter, this moderately paced and predictable romantic comedy manages to not fall into total paint by number mode, but does in fact take a few nice turns leaving the women (even though still considerably hung up on men) with a degree of individuality. Decent production from start to finish, the secret with this one is the ensemble comedic value, which, while not lighting fast, is still fast enough to get some play as a good counter programming for Valentine’s weekend. How to Be Single is rated R.

Zoolander 2

Having spent almost the last 15 years in seclusion as a hermit crab Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) is called upon to help solve a series of strange murders of high profile celebrities. Teaming up with once rival but now friend Hansel (Owen Wilson), the two former male supermodels find themselves in Rome at the center of huge conspiracy. Stopping the horror and reclaiming their fashion throne as kings will not be easy.Zoolander2 Directed and partially written by Ben Stiller, Zoolander 2 does indeed fall victim to the tropes of most Hollywood retreads, repeat jokes, more cameos than ever thought possible, and thin plot. However, that being said, chuckle count and nostalgia might just be enough to carry this franchise to moderate heights along weighted gossamer wings; Stiller does seem to put enough fuel in the tank to cross the finish line without totally wearing out his welcome, meanwhile supporting cast including Penélope Cruz, Kristen Wiig, and Will Ferrell all hold up their end of the bargain ensuring that the absurdity of the spectacle is not missed, although it is a little easier to forget. Fun for a Valentine’s day? Maybe? Zoolander 2 is rated PG-13.
