Abrams this powerhouse of suspense, claustrophobia, and the unknown will keep you guessing for the full hour and 43 minutes runtime; a key element to Abrams’s modus operandi “The Mystery Box,” a concept where every answer brings more questions. In this case, Pitting characters against each other, offering little explanation with a slowly peeled curtain, this deviously simple safe room gone wrong engages audiences on the edge of confusion and reveal and it’s fantastic. Solid performances from this relatively small ensemble sell the drama stronger yet. Looking for solid Sci-Fi suspense drama, this is your ticket, best enjoyed loud! 10 Cloverfield Lane is rated PG-13.
