Celeste and Jesse Forever

Celeste (Rashida Jones) and Jesse (Andy Samberg) are or were a couple. You see, they still live together, go out together, do couple-ish things, share a childish sense of humor, but they’re in fact broken up. And, desires to grow up, have kids, and move on with their individual lives is proving difficult. Will they ever split for good, and under what circumstances? Bittered? Interesting in that film is loaded with talented comedic actors, yet the overall film isn’t exactly a barrel of laughs. Sure there are comedic moments and a few chuckles, but bottom line the script here feels anemic and poorly fleshed out. On the positive, Samberg
and Jones do manage to create believable chemistry, it’s just too bad the rest of the film isn’t that interesting. Oh well. Celeste and Jesse Forever is Rated R.
