Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a law school dropout turned bicycle messenger in Manhattan; opting for the high adrenaline life of riding a fixed gear bike like a madman, he’s known as the best in the industry. And, it’s that reputation that has made him the best choice to deliver a very important envelope across town. But, when a crooked cop (Michael Shannon) steps in the way, Wilee will have to use all of his wits to make the drop off in time, there will be huge consequences if he fails, what to do?
Well plotted, yet thinly scripted, this action packed, cat and mouse film works hard to keep you engaged from start to finish. Relying on
clever cinematic sequences, compelling cinematography, converging story lines, and just the right amount of goof to create a summer time sleeper hit, this is one to actually pay attention to. Fun! Premium Rush is rated PG-13.
