Movies for this week

Wall-E
Walt Disney and Pixar Studios are at it again with the futuristic tale of Wall-E. Fred Willard and Sigourney Weaver and a host of others lend their voices to this animated film. The year is 2700 and a robot left on earth is given the task of cleaning up the planet for the human race. All goes well until Wall-E  discovers the key to the planet’s future. Perfect for the whole family. And, before the feature audiences can expect to catch the Pixar short titled ‘Presto” Wall-E is rated G.

Wanted
Russian director Timur Bekmambetov offers the summers’ latest graphic novel become film, Wanted. The film features Hollywood heavyweights Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, and James McAvoy. A lowly office employee Wesley Gibson (McAvoy) learns of his fate and place in a fraternity of assassins through Fox (Jolie), a member of the fraternity. As Wesley is trained to kill, secrets of the fraternity are revealed to him that turn his world upside down. Slightly confusing to start, but well shot action sequences, and decent plot make for a high impact popcorn popper for the summer. Although, the dialogue could have been stronger, probably best enjoyed on the big screen. Wanted is rated R.
