Movies for this week

Pineapple Express:
The new breed of funnymen are at it again as lazy stoner Dale (Seth Rogen) and his lazy dealer Saul (James Franco) are on the run from crooked cops and a host of other sleazy characters in this semi respectable comedy of errors and burnouts. Crude at times, and not for the whole family, Pineapple Express is rated R.

Sisterhood of The Traveling Pants 2
Friendship, drama, and the trials and tribulations of life continue as this group of four unlikely girlfriends continue to strain whilst connected by a perfect pair of pants. Not to be confused with the precursor, Director Sanaa Hamri brings new life and quality to this story line in what can perhaps be best described as Sex in the City for the teen audience, although older audiences may still appreciate. Overall well acted and well shot, perhaps a matinee. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 is rated PG-13.

Man On Wire
August 7, 1974 a passionate French street performer driven to wire walking attempts his greatest stunt, wirewalking between the towers on the World Trade Center, guerilla style. Fascinating, this semi-documentary style film recreates how the event was accomplished and details one man’s passion and drive to achieve the impossible. Gripping start to finish, documentary fans should not miss this film. Man on Wire is rated PG-13.
